Neutron Diffraction Study on the Low-Temperature Monoclinic Form of CeCu_6

The low-temperature form of CeCu. has been determined from the Rietveldanalysis on high-resolution TOF neutron diffraction data at 65 K. The crystal systemis monoclinic with lattice parameters *=0.5080nm, #=l.0121nm, c=0.8067nmand p=91.36'. The space group is P2./c and the unit cell contains four formulaunits. The structure is a derivative of the high-temperature orthorhombic formassociated with a monoclinic deformation and minor shifts of the atomic positions.
