Spin-Orbit Interaction and Electronic Conduction in Two-Dimensional Disordered Metals

Systematic change was observed in the magnetic field dependence of conduc-tivity for the Cu films, Cu -Ag films and Cu -Au films while the temperaturedependence is commonly written as o.A-o. In T. These features are discussedwith theories of localization and the Coulomb interaction in two-dimensionaldisordered systems. It is shown that the magnetic field dependence is mainly dueto the former effect with the spin-orbit interaction and that the temperaturedependence is mainly due to the latter.
