A Possible Charge Kosterlitz-Thouless-Berezinskii Transition in Granular Films

We measured the temperature dependence of the electrical conduction of granular films of Cu with a mean grain size of 40 Å, for which sheet conductances are much less than the quantum value 4e^2/h. The results are interpreted in terms of the charge Kosterlitz-Thouless-Berezinskii transition mechanism.
