Spin Ordering of Ni (NO_3)_2・6H_2O in a Magnetic Field : The Case of Rhombic Crystalline Field

Measurements of 8M/;H for systems of Ni'-' ions in a rhoncbic crystallinefield are performed in a pulsecl magnetic field. The: inevitable misalignment of theexternal magnetic field with respect to the z-axis of a crystal is minimized by adevice for adjustment. A mag.netic ordering is fot-und in Ni(l"J03),'6FI.0 around42 1<Oe at initial temperatures 7'j's below 2.3 K. The widtlu of' the ordered phase isabout 8 k0e at T,= 1.18 K.
