Magnetic Phase Transitions in the Two-Dimensional Random Mixture K_2Cu_xCo_<1-x>F_4 with Computing Exchange Interactions

Temperature dependence of dc and ac susceptibilities of K.Cu.Co. .F., a randommixture having competing ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic exchange interaclions, has been measured to reveal magnetic properties, especially a temperature vs.concentration phase diagram. It has been found that there exist ferromagnetic(lg,v>0.84), spin-glass (0.84>,v>0.5) and antiferromagnetic (0.5>,v?0) regions.The ferromagnetic phase is composed of three distinct phases, i.e., planar, obliqueand axial ones, due to competing XY and Ising anisotropies of Cu" and Co" ions,respectively. In the spin-glass region, freezing of longitudinal and transverse spin corn-ponents successively occurs at different temperatures, indicating a two-dimensional Is-ing spin-glass character.
