High Field Phase Transitions of Quasi One-Dimensional S=1/2 Heisenberg Antiferromagnet Cu_2(1,4-diazacycloheptane)_2Cl_4 Observed by Submillimenter Wave ESR

Millimeter and strbmillirneter wave ESR raaeastrrenaents on a single crystal of an S : 1 /2Heisenberg ladder-like systeun CU2 (C5H12N2)2C14 have been perf'ormed using a pulsed taaagneticfield up to 16 T. The gap is estiuaaated to Ice 9.7 K frouaa the temperature dependence of ESRintensity. The detailed freqtuency dependence of ES R in the frequency region from 40 to 420 GHzat 1.8K suggests tnagnetic transitions at H.) : 7.5T, H.) : 1O.1T and H. : 13.2T. Atransition at 1O.1T is suggested for the first tiuaue. These results are disctrssed with previotrstnagnetization rneasurenaents and theoretical calctrlations, and otrr results appear to be diffictrltto interpret according to the sinaple ladder rmodel.
