The NMR and EPR measurements of a quasi-one-dimensional conductor /7-Pb.V.0. (,X'=0.18, 0.33, 0.37, 0.44) were carried out at temperatures between 12 K and360 K. The evidence of a spin-singlet ground state was obtained from the temperaturedependence of "V Knight shift for x= 0.18. The observed spin susceptibility is foundto be those of both bipolarons having the spin singlet ground state and localized elec-irons showing Curie-Weiss susceptibility at the V. sites. Bipolarons are formed onlyat ion pairs of the V. site for ,v=0.18 with a binding energy 150K. For x=O.44,bipolarons are expected to be formed at ion pairs of the V, and V. sites with adifferent binding energy of 350 K./7-Pb.V.0, EPR, NMR, bipolaron, relaxation, ccxperimental study
