Spin-lattice relaxation times of "Na and "V nuclei in the quasi-one-dimen-sional conductor /7-Nag.,(gV.05 were measured in the temperature range between77 K and 300 K. On the basis of bipolaron model, we discuss the fluctuation oflocal field at the nuclei and determine the correlation time of electron hoppingmotion to be about 1.0 x 10 -" sec. As far as we are concerned with this com-paratively slow hopping rate of electron, the observed high conductivity alongchain of [0' Q 'cm " is not understood without taking into consideration ofthe collective motion of bipolarons. In the higher temperature, the observedbroad maximum of the spin-lattice relaxation ratc of "Na nuclei around 220 Kindicates the existence of the motion of sodium tons.
