Effects of Diagonal Interchain Exchange Interaction on the ESR Modes of ABX_3-Type Triangular Antiferromagnets

Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) measurements have been performed on axial triangular antiferromagnets CsNiBr;3 and Cs1VInI3 in their lowest three-dinuensional (3 D) ordered phase. Thefrequency vs. magnetic field diagranas are obtained in the frequency range frorn 9 to 380 GHzand the magnetic field up to 160 kOe. Several significant disagreements between the experi-mental data and the theory based on the conventional naodel are found. It is shown that thedisagreements can be removed by the diagonal interchain exchange cotmpling J2. The ESR the-ory is developed taking the Jz cotrpling into account, Fitting the present theory to experimentaldata, the interaction pararneters of' CsNiBr3 and CsMnI3 are determined.
