The Enhancement of the Δ(1232) Width

Within the SU(6) constraint on pion coupling constants it is shown that the width of Δ(1232) is enhanced by attractive rescattering correction to the proper ΔNπ vertex function, which comes from the Chew-Low mechanism with crossed N and Δ exchange forces.
