Geometrical Structure of Hadrons and Diffractive Eigenstates

In the framework of the diffractive eigenstate formalism it is discussed what structure of hadrons is implied by the observed large cross section of diffractive excitation. Using the geomerical model as a realization of the eigenstate it is shown that the matter distribution of a proton cannot have a simple shape such as a breathing ellipsoid. The matter should dissociate into two or more pieces and/or there should be a finite probability of vanishment of the strongly-interacting matter, for example.
