Coherent-State Approach to the Skyrmion Model : πN Scattering Amplitudes with Proper Born Terms : Particles and Fields

The coherent-state representation of a soliton state and the generator coordinate method are applied to the Skyrmion model, instead of using the collective coordinate quantization approach usually accepted. It is shown that the Yukawa couplings constructed of the Skyrmion configuration are naturally revived, and πN scattering amplitudes have proper Born terms in place of unwanted zero-mode pole terms.
