Flavonoid Constituents of Dracocephalum kotschyi Growing in Iran and Their Trypanocidal Activity

Nine flavonoids, calycopterin, xanthomicrol, isokaempferide, luteolin, apigenin, luteolin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, luteolin 3'-O-β-D-glucuronide, apigenin 4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, and acacetin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, together with a phenolic, rosmarinic acid, were isolated from the EtOAc and MeOH extracts of Dracocephalum kotschyi Boiss. Isokaempferide and apigenin showed lethality against epimastigotes of Trypanosoma cruzi, the etiological agent of Chagas disease.
