A new acylated kaempferol glucoside, kaempferol 3-O-(2",6"-di-O-(E)-p-coumaroyl-β-D-glucopyranoside), was isolated from the leaves of Quercus dentata Thunberg as a repellent against a fouling organism, the blue mussel Mytilus edulis L.
