Extreme Ultraviolet Spectra of Emission from Plasma Focus. : II. ArXI to ArXV Ion Lines from 130 to 230Å

• Extreme ultraviolet emission from multiply-ionized Ar-ions was observed in plasma focus discharges in ambient Ar gas with a ceramic rod set on a Cu anode. The spectrum of the emission was observed in the wavelength range from 60 to 500Å with a grazing-incidence spectrograph. The spectral lines observed were mainly 2s-electron excitation lines from ArXI(2s^22p^4) to ArXV(2s^2)-ions in the range from 130 to 250Å. The relative line-intensities were determined, and the lines have been tabulated together with their relative intensities. Four lines from ArXI to XIII-ions have been newly identified, and the energy values of the levels ArXI 2p^6 ^1S_0 and ArXIII 2p^4 ^1D_2 have been determined. Furthermore, 11 lines from doubly-excited levels of ArXII to XIV-ions have been observed at the wavelengths predicted by Fawcett.
