The ferroelectric switching process has been studied on tlte basis of a one-dimen-sional discrete lattice model. The characteristics of the model is discussed in the rela-tionship with the Kolmogorov-Avrami(KA) model. Ithas turned out that the featuresin the early stage of the polarization reversal in the present model coincides witlt whatdescribed by the KA model.[ferroelectrics, polarization reversal, a lattice model, the Kolmogorov-Avrami ll modell
