Dielectric Properties of Lithium Diborate (Li_2B_4O_7)Single Crystal

The frequency and temperature dependences of dielectric properties of lithiumdiborate (Li.B.0.) single crystal were investigated from 100 Hz to 100kHz.Anomalous behavior of the real part of the dielectric constant e' was observed in thetemperature range 300 - 600 K. The anomaly observed in e' may be due to dielectricrelaxation caused by the Tonic conduction. The behavior of imaginary part of dielec-tric constant c" can be well explained in terms of the ionic conduction.
