On the Ferroelectric Phase Transition in Li_2Ge_7O_<15>

X-ray scattering experiments of Li.Ge 7 0., were carried out above and belowthe ferroelectric phase transition temperature 7'.=283.5 K. The space groups areconfirmed to be DJf,-Pbcn and C:.-Pbc23 above and below T., respectively. Thecoupling between the ferroelectric displacements of atoms along the c-directionand the displacements of atoms along the *-direction is important to cause thephase transition.
