X-Ray Scattering Study of a One-Dimensional Ionic Conductor;Hollandite

An X-ray scattering experiment of hollandite K..5(Al...Ti...)0.5 has beencarried out. The diffuse X-ray scattering was characterized by the commensuratewave vector 9.=(0, 0, 3/4). The correlation length for the c-axis (channel axis)is much longer than that of the o-axis and increases with decreasing temperature.
