Lattice Location of Si and Al Dissolved in Cr by Proton Channeling and Induced X-Ray Emission

Direct detertnination of the lattice location of Si and Al in Cr-2.3 ago Si andCr-1.4 a/o Al crystals has been nxade by naeasurirg backscattered proton andX-ray emission. Both yields along some axial and j>latcar directions show chan-neling dips which coincide almost pith each other. It is concluded that Si and Alatoms occupy the substitutional sites in Cr at roona temperature.
