Projectile Dependence of KL^l Vacancy Production Cross Sections of Al by H and He Ion Bombardments

Spectra of Al K. X rays induced by H and He ton bombardments in the energyrange of 0.2-0.4 MeV/amu have been measured with a Bragg spectrometer andZ. dependence of single K- plus multiple L-shell (KL') ionization has beeninvestigated. The result shows that the L-shell ionization probability of Al bylight ion bombardments follows the scaling law of direct Coulomb ionizationconsidering the binding energy correction.
