Effect of hydrostatic pressure was studied for the phase transitions in tetrameth-ylammonium tetrabromometallic compounds, {N(CH.).}.XBr. (X: Zn, Co).The transition temperatures in the -ZnBr. and -CoBr. compounds (14.8'Cand 14.O'C, respectively, at l atm) linearly increase with increasing pressure withthe ratios of 0.184 deg MPa " and 0.182 deg MPa ', respectively. Any inter-mediate phases were not observed at high pressures up to about 200 MPa.
