Effect of hydrostatic pressure on the successive phase transitions in {N(CD.).}.-Coal. was studied by dielectric measurements. As presstu'e increases, the I-II,II-III, and III-IV transition temperattu'es (23.7'C, 8.3'C, and 4.2'C at 1 atm,respectively) linearly increase with the ratios of 135 deg GPa -', 227 deg GPa =',and 205 deg GPa -', respectively. The ferroelectric III phase disappears at 0.099GPa and 30.8'C. The effect of deuteration on the transition sequence is equivalentto application of hypothetical negative pressure of -0.05 GPa.
