Ferroelectric Region of {N (CH_3)_4}_2FeCl_4 in the Pressure-Temperature Phase Space

Dielectric constant along the a-direction of {N(CH3)4}2FCCl4 was measured athigh pressures. The peak of the dielectric constant splits into two maxima in thepressure range from about 45 MPa to about 60 MPa indicating that the ferroelec-tric phase exists between two maxima. The maximum temperature width of theferroelectric phase is about l'C being much narrower than that found in{N(CH3)4}2COCl4, {N(CH3)4}2ZI1Cl4, and their deuterated analogues.
