Two pressure-induced ferroelectric phases are found for [N(CH3)4]2CllCl4 crystal within thepressure-induced incornrnensurate phase. One exists above about 200 MPa in a narrow tempera-ture region just above the upper boundary of the lock-in commensurate phase with the c-latticeparameter tripling. Another one appears above about 250 lVIPa at higher ternperatures, and expands with increasing pressure. The spontaneous polarization develops along the />-direction inboth ferroelectric phases. The pressure-ternperature phase diagram including the newly observedferroelectric phases is shown, and the mechanism of the ferroelectricity is discussed.
