Structure analysis of K.D(SO.). was performed by X-ray diffraction at room fern-perature. Cell parameters were obtained as v=9.787(3)A, #=5.682(2)A,c= 14.697(4) A, fi= 103.00(2)'with a space group A2/ex, Z=4. Excess electrons werefound on a differential Fourier map around a cerrter of inversion. The structure isusomorphous to that of K.H(SO.). reported by Noda et al., and the deuterium atomstake the disordered state at room temperature. Obtained hyclrogen bond charactersuch as R..=2.519(2) A and ,R..=0.66(8) A were cxompared with those of K.H(SO.).in connection with a geometrical isotope effect.
