Effect of Hydrostatic Pressure on the Phase Transitions in (Rochelle Salt)_<1-x>(Ammonium Rochelle Salt)_x Mixed Crysytal System

The composition-pressure-temperature tlu'ee dimensional phase diagram wasdetermined for the system of (Rochelle salt). .(ammonium Rochelle salt). fromdielectric measurements in a range of O<.v<0.32, 7>,$8 kbar, and -]I0'C<7',$50'C. Both the upper and lower Curie temperatures increase with increasinghydrostatic pressure for ,v<0.025, and the temperature range of the ferroelectricphase widens. In the composition range of 0.025<,v<0.039, the ferroelectricphase was observed as a pressure-induced phase. For the compositions of ,v=0.054and 0.11, the ferroelectric phase was not found up to 8 kbar. Hydrostatic pressuredepresses the Curie temperature of the low-temperature ferroelectric phase whichis found in .v>0.18 with a large depression rate.
