• The isotherznal deuteriuun absorption and desorption experiments, X-ray and rnagnetizationrneasurernents revealed four types of deuterides in YFexD., 7s of 3.8< x, yz of x< 3.4, andf3 and aznorphous of x< 2.1 at roonu temperature. The crystal structttre of all deuterides arerlaombohedraJ. The naagnetization of all deuterides are abotut 3,8#B/YF(220. and the Cttrietemperatvrres are l20K for the 'yj-deuteride and 300K for the 'yp-devrteride. The /V-deuterideis always a mixture with the amorphous deuteride, and the Curie ternperature of amorphousdeuteride is 570 K and that of /F-deuteride varies f'rorn 290 K to 400 K with increasing deuteriumconcentration. lVI6ssbauer mestrreznents were performed and hyperfine fields of Fe xvere estimatedfor every detrterides.
