Crystal structure of (Y.Zr. .)C02.9 is the PuNi3 type in ,X'>0,3, four slabs hex-agonal structure in 0.3>,v>0.1 and the MgCu. type at x=O. X-ray diffraction pat-terns of the compounds show that the three structures are similar each other. Themagnetic moment and the Curie temperature decrease with decreasing yttrium con-tent x in ,XI'>0.1. ZrCo.., has a larger moment and a higher Curie temperature than(Y...Zr..,)Co..,. The change of magnetic moment and crystal structure is analysed bythe stacking model of Laves type (Y,Zr).Co. and CaCu, type (Y,Zr)Co, stabs.
