Magnetic Properties and Phase Diagram of Ce (Ru_<1-x>Rh_x)_2Si_2(0<≦x<0.5)

Magnetic susceptibility, magnetization and specific heat measurements have beenjcerformed on single cr)'stalline Ce(Ru.-.Rh..).Siz in the Ru rich region(0<.r<0.5)with a special interest izx the small Rh substitution effects on tlae Kondo temperatureT., the antiferromagnetic (AF) correlation and the metamagnetic transition inCeRu.Si.. Phase diagrams are obtained in both x-T and H-T planes with fields ap-plied parallel to the tetragonal c-axis. At low Rh concentration, T. decreases with xand a weak AF ordering (7'N<5.5K) appears in t}ae region 0.05<,X'<0.30. Themetamagnetic transition field H, decreases with x, leveling off and disappearingabove x=0.2O. This me1.amagnetic transition clearly exists in the AF ordered samples,where two successive 1.r:ansitions are observed in fields at H.(<4 T) and #.(>5 T).The AF ordering is ctestroyed above H. and the system furtlaer undergoes ametamagnetic transitiorn at H.., heavy fermion, mef.amagnetism, antiferromagnetisrn, CeRu.Siz
