Nuclear Spin-Lattice Relaxation Study in Spin Glass Co_xGa_<1-x> Intermetallic Compounds

The spin echo decay of "Co associated with nonmagnetic Co atom in CoGacompounds was measured at 9, 5 and 2.5 MHz in wide temperature range throughthe spin glass transition temperature, T.. At T>>T., nuclear spin-lattice relaxationtimc, T., was also measured. Analyzing the spin echo decay and T., we havededuced the average nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate,<,T7."), to the system oflocalized moments, which shows a progressive peak like the case of the criticalslowing down near T.. The temperature at the peak is somewhat lower than T.measured by magnetic susceptibility in zero field. (7'.-.') increases rapidly withdecreasing the resonance field near the temperature at the peak. Following Chenand Slichter, the electron spin correlation time, r- was estimated from<T.-.'>and the integrated intensity. r- shows a slowing down of orders three at thetransition.
