Magnetic Behavior of Mn_3GaC under High Magnetic Field and High Pressure

XVe have uneastrred the naagnetiz?ttion ?rnd tuaagnetostriction of lVIn3GaC in ptrlsed high unagnetic fields Lip to 37T and the tnagnetization trnder ste?xdy uaaagnetic field and pressure up to0.82GPa. IVIn3GaC is anti['erroanagnetic (AF) at low teutaperattrres. It exhibits strccessive transitions to an intermediate (I), to a f'errotn;tgnetic (F) and to a pararauagnetic phase. The transitionbetween the AF and I phases is first order and the others are second order. The transitiontenaperattrre between the I and F phases does not change greatly with increasing raaagnetic field.At low ternperattrres, a naetarn?tgnetic transition frozaa the AF to the I state is observed. Volume rnagnetostriction rneasureunent at 4.2 K indicates that the VOILIIII0is abrttptly decreased bythe tmetarnagnetic transition and then gradtr;'tlly shrinks with increasing field. High presstrrestabilizes the F phase and enhances the [VIn zauoraaent.
