The resonance-like behaviors observed in the NN scattering are investigated with the channel coupling between NN and NΔ. The dominant role of the aligned coupling states of the NΔ system is made clear. It is essential to give rise to the resonance-like behaviors that the intermediate NΔ state is unstable and have large inelasticity.
