Partial Wave Dispersion Relation with Inelastic Cut and Pion-Pion Scattering in the 1 GeV Region

Pion-pion scattering is investigated by means of the partial wave dispersion relation with the inelastic cut by taking account of the recent experimental date around 1 GeV. The inelasticity η^<0(0)> for the I=0 S-wave is treated as an important input and several examples of η^<0(0)> are tested. The subtraction constant at the symmetry point λ and the cutoff momentumν_c are the free parameters of this analysis. For λ=0 and ν_c=25-27.5m_π^2, both of the S-wave and P-wave phase shifts below 800 MeV are well reproduced. In the energy region around 1 GeV, twice subtracted dispersion relation is required to reproduce the so-called increasing phase shift for the I=0 S-wave. The coupled two-channel dispersion relation is also investigated with the inelastic channel (ππ→KK^^-). The twice subtraction reproduces experiments reasonably well for both the single- and two-channel dispersion relations in the GeV region.
