Assignment of the Ground-State Spin-Parity for ^17C through g-Factor Measurement

The g-factor for the ^17C ground state was measured by means of the β-NMR spectroscopy with a spin-polarized fragment beam. From the tentative result |g(^17C)| = 0.5054(25), we conclude that the ground-state spin-parity for ^17C is 3/2^+.
