成犬と老犬の海馬CA1領域における脂質過酸化反応とCu,Zn-superoxide dismutaseの違い(解剖学)

活性酸素種は多くの病理学的損傷に開連した酸化ストレスを引き起こす.脳において脂質過酸化反応の主要な最終毒性産物である4-hydroxy-2E-nonenal(HNE)が産生されている.一方,主要な抗酸化酵素であるsuoeroxide dismutase(SOD)は神経を酸化ストレスから守っている.本研究の目的は成犬(2-3歳)と老犬(10-12歳)の海馬CA1領域におけるHNEとCu,Zn-superoxide dismutase(SOD1)の違いを観察することにある.CA1領域のHNE免疫染色反応性とその蛋白レベルは老犬において成犬に比較して高かった.SOD1免疫染色反応性とその蛋白レベルも成犬より老犬で高かった.しかしながら,CA1領域におけるNeuN(a neuron-specific soluble nuclear antigen)の免疫染色反応性には成犬と老犬とで有意な差がなかった.これらの違いは老犬と成犬における酸化ストレスの違いに関係するのだろう.
