The Relationship between Isobutene-Forming Activity and a Cytochrome P-450 in Rhodotorula minuta

Using Rhodotorula minuta IFO 1102,cytochrome P-450 was shown to be induced by L-phenylalanine or its metabolites. Levels of the cytochrome correlated well with isobutene-forming activities. These results indicate that the isobutene-forming enzyme may be the cytochrome P-450 system composed of cytochrome P-450 and cytochrome P-450 reductase.
