Symmetry Consideration of Dipole Interaction in Rochelle Salt Type Crystal

The symmetry aspect of the dipole interaction in Rochelle salt has been studiedfor arbitrary wave vector. The Fourier-transformed Lorentz factor matrix is givenin a convenient form which reflects well the symmetry of the prototypic spacegroup of P2.2.2. The dipole configuration at the X point, corresponding to thebasis functions of the two dimensional X representation and applicable to thecase of ammonium Rochelle salt, is concretely derived', and the feature of energysplitting at the X point is clarified.
