Critical Amplitude of Specifi Heat Capacity in the Antiferromagnets of K_2NiF_4 Family Belonging to Two-Dimensional Ising Universality Class

Anomalous sr>ecific heat car>acities of KzNiF+ familv were measured with a highresolution. Thev were found to exhibit a svmmetric losarithmic diversence asexpected in two-dimensional Ising systemn into which the present two-dimensionalanisotropic Heisenberg antiferromagnets were classified in terms of theHamiltonian X=2J IF(1 -,d)(.S'f.S'fi-F-.5Y.5])-l-.5T.55]. The critical amr>litude,4/R was found to vary in proportion to A"". In connection with this fact, thecoefficient tc.a of the inverse correlation length was found to be proportional tol"'. These dependences on l can be understood in the frame work of anisotropiccross-over scaling hypothesis in a strong scaling case. The results predict thatthe crossing-over from the two-dimensional Ising to Heisenberg behavior occursat a nonzero temperature and that the anisotropic cross-over exponent 4 liesat about 4.
