Ultrasonic attenuation in Rb.CoF,? has been measured at frequc:ncies rangingfrom. 10 to 150 MHz below and above the N<Sol temperature T.. The criticalattenuation has been separated into the relaxation and fluctuation txontributions.The relaxation contribution at. takes a maximutn below T. and the tentperature atwhich the ?taaxinauun appears decreases as the frequency increases. 'Below IN it isfound that a. is described by a scaling function, ct.cc-co"" /.(con'), where r'=r'g,.t " and /=l -T/T. with the results ,v'=1.20fO.03 and ,v'=0.]5.[0.O5.The scaling function /.(am') takes such a fornt as 2 coo'/(1 %(coo')'J.
