Magnetic Phase Transitions in K_2Cu_cMn_<1-c>F_4 Mixed Crystals

The magnetic properties of insulating quasi-two-dimensional mixed ferromagentic(F) and antiferromagnetic (AF) system K.Cu.Mn. ,F. were studied by d.c. and a.c.magnetic susceptibility (,() measurements, and phase diagram of this system was ob-tained. AF-region lies in the Cu concentration range of 03c<0.5, and F region doesin 0.8<c.sl. In the intermediate range (0.5<c<0.8), spin-glass behaviors wereobserved in a.c.z and d.c.z below 1 K. The relatively low spin-glass transitiontemperature was intepreted to result from the characteristic of quasi-two-dimensionalnature of this system. The random-field effects were observed in the AF region, andT.(c)-, T.(c)-lines were discussed in relation to the percolation theory and orbitalordering of Cu" ions.
