The structural phase transition of stage 2 SbCl.-graphiteintercalationcompoundmade from a single crystal of Kish graphite has been investigated by the electrondiffraction, specific heat and static susceptibility below 300 K, The phase transi-tion can be explained by the presence of two kinds of species for antimonychlorides. One of these species undergoes a commensurate-incommensuratephase transition at T.. (=230 K) of first order, and above T.. it forms a dis-commensuration structure in which the (V'7X X/ 7)R19.11' superlattice is modu-lated by the honeycomb domain structure. The other species remains unchangedas the (V'7XV/7)R19.11' structure at least above T.. (:210K). Below T.g,there appears the glassy phase which is identified as the (V' 7 x ( 7) structurewithout directional long range order.
