• The structure of the novel heterodinuclear organometallic complex, [(cod)(Ph)Pt–W(CO)<SUB>3</SUB>(η<SUP>5</SUP>-C<SUB>5</SUB>H<SUB>5</SUB>)] has been determined by X-ray crystallography; the Pt–W bond distance is 2.844(1)Å.
