Poto-Response Characteristics of Electrophtographic Plates in Nanosecond Periods

Photo-response characteristics of electrophotographic plates from microsecond to nanosecond periods were investigated. Selenium, ZnO and PVC_z-TNF were used as photoconductive materials. Light attenuation was measured using Ar, YAG ann dye lasers as light sources. When the irradiation time was longer than 10 μsec, the reciprocity law held true. However, in the nanosecond period, the reciprocity law was not applicable. Line imagas were produced by an He-Cd laser, and conditions for the applicability of the reciprocity law were confirmed from the image density obtained.
