Previously, the structure of the novel flavan, daphnodorin C (3), isolated from the root and bark of Daphne odora THUNB., was identified as 3a. Now, we redefine its structure as 3b after further spectral and chemical investigations. The absolute configuraiton of 3 is determined to be 2S___-, 2"S___-, 3"S___-.
