A theory of ferroelectric phase transition in AgNa(NO.). is proposed on thebasis of a two sublattice model. A model calculation is performed to obtain thetemperature dependence of spontaneous polarization and the intensity of Ramanscattering due to the symmetric bending mode of ]N0q ions. The theoretical resultsarc shown in a good agreement with the experiments.
