Note on Inverse Isotope Effect in Superconducting PdH_x System. I

On the basis of self-consistent Einstein model, we discuss anharmonic lattice vibrations in connection with the inverse isotope effect in superconducting transition temperature of PdH_x system. Mean square displacement <u^2>_<H(D)> and effective force constant φ_<H(D)> of H(D) in PdH (PdD) are calculated self-consistently. Assuming simple interatomic potentials of Morse type, the ratio φ_H/φ_D is evaluated to obtain the value which is in good agreement with experiment and supports the inverse isotope effect in superconducting transition temperature.
