Analysis of Nonlinear Excitation and Detection of Surface Magnon Polaritons

A theoretical investigation is made of the excitation and detection of surfacemagnon polaritons in YIG film through nonlinear optical mixing method. Thetreatment is carried out by total field approach. We suggest some experimentalconditions under which the surface magnon polaritons might be excited anddetected.
