The possibility of detecting surface polaritons (SP's) on semiconductor superlat-tices through attenuated total reflection (ATR) technique is investigated. Calculationsof ATR spectra for semi-infinite and finite GaAs/A1..,Ga..,As superlattices clearlyshow that one can observe ATR resonances due to the excitation of SP's in Otto andKretschmann configurations.
