From olive [Olea europaea L_<lNNE> ; Oleaceae], a feeding stimulant to the olive weevil [Dyscerus perforatus (R_<OELOFS>) ; Coleopetera ; Curculionidae] was extracted with methanol and identified as oleuropein, a secoiridoid glucoside, by spectroscopic methods.
